Bananas Over Broadway is a fictional movie starring Patrick Stewart and directed by Woody Allen in the DVD version of FOX-y Lady. Brian bemoans the fact that when Woody Allen stars another actor in a role clearly intended for him, they tend to act like Woody Allen. Stewie protests, believing that Patrick Stewart was great in the role of Melvin Shiverman. The title is a parody of Allen's 1971 film Bananas and his 1994 film Bullets Over Broadway. Bullets Over Broadway starred, among others, Jennifer Tilly, who would become the voice of Bonnie Swanson.
