Let's hear it for them Union boys

Legendary comedian and entertainer Bob Hope appeared in the episode PTV during a TV news report. Having "come back to life" he attempted to "jump all those trashcans" on a motorcycle, which lead to his tragic (re-) death in a ball of fire. In this appearance he was voiced by Maurice LaMarche.

Also, in a reference to Hope's great age - he was 100 when he died - in the episode A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas, a TV clip of Hope entertaining Union soldiers of the American Civil War is shown. Hope was in fact renowned for his USO forces' concerts, particularly during WWII, which did much to maintain morale amongst all Allied forces (not just GIs). A somewhat corny gag is incorporated in the clip with the Union boys - Hope would apparently have got to the show earlier but "Lincoln gave me the wrong Gettysburg Address"!!
