Bonnie Swanson is Joe's ever-pregnant wife. She speaks with a squeaky semi-teen voice. Bonnie is rather timid and always does as Joe says. She is a lot calmer than her husband Joe and often uses failed attempts to calm him down. She once said "I can't say no to Joe... ever". She's been pregnant since the first episode she appeared in and Peter once commented on this stating that she's "been pregnant for like six years" No specifics have been given regarding her child. She is played by Valerie Bertinelli in the movie Rolling Courage: The Joe Swanson Story in the episode Ready, Willing, and Disabled. In the DVD movie Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, taking place 30 years later, she will give Joe her legs when she dies. In her intial appearence, she was red headed.

She has Black hair (Red hair in her debut episode) wears the same purple maternity clothes in every episode, and has an ever pregnant belly, which has shown no signs that she will deliver soon except when the unborn baby kicks.
