Carl Sagan

Carl Edward Sagan (November 9, 1934 – December 20, 1996) was an American astronomer, astrochemist, author, and highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI).

In "Airport '07", Peter Griffin watches an episode of the Sagan-hosted Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, a version edited for rednecks. All statements that conflict with the creationist view of the world are edited out and replaced. Sagan states that our planet is four—hundreds and hundreds of years old, that scientists determine the universe was created by the Godig Bang, and that if one looks at the bones of a Jesusnasaurus Rex, it’s clear by the use of carbon-dating that Mountain Dew is the best soda ever made.
