Carol Pewterschmidt is Lois's younger sister. She first appeared in the episode Emission Impossible. In this episode Lois and Peter take a trip to her house because her 8th husband Ted left her while she was pregnant with their son who she gives birth to later on in this episode. Unlike her parents she likes Peter and thinks he is humorous. It is not known if Carol knows about her long-lost brother Patrick she probably doesn't because when Lois finds out about Patrick she is never seen telling Carol about him. She was mentioned in the episode Boys Do Cry the Griffins had to stay at her Texas house when on the run and Lois said "We can stay at Carols house while she is out on her 9th honeymoon".
