Dylan Flannigan (born early 1990s) is the son of Brian Griffin and Tracy Flannigan in The Former Life of Brian. Brian left Tracy before Dylan was born, leaving him not knowing what it's like to have a father. When he visits Tracy, she wasn't beautiful anymore she was actually a fat slob. Tracy told Brian and Stewie about Dylan when they went to visit her. Brian goes back to the house and tells Peter and Lois about him. When he arrived Tracy wrote a note that said "He's your problem now." [It also said P.S. Will you write me a letter of recommendation for the university of Phoenix. He reacted "No I'm not gonna put myself on the line like that."] When Lois said hello Dylan, Dylan said "Shut up, bitch!" He seemed to be giving them a very hard time. When he is introduced to Chris, the evil monkey comes out of the closet, only to have Dylan beat him up. When Brian decided he was finally going to throw Dylan out one of them dropped a bag of pot. They both called out "Hey my pot!" While smoking the pot they realized they had a lot in common and became close. Brian soon got very protective of Dylan. Peter then got Tracy to take Dylan back. Even though Brian was against it, Dylan said he must go because he can change his mom's life the same way Brian changed his. He is confirmed to be a recurring character in newer episodes.
Dylan's creation is questioned, due to the fact that he is 13-years-old and Brian is only 7-years-old. Stewie asked this question, only to have Brian tell him to "go on the Internet and complain." This is due to the fact many people complain on the site about chronological mistakes. One possibility to explain this may be because Dylan is a hybrid of Tracy and Brian, his aging process may be different, meaning he will die much sooner than full-blooded humans. This is a likely reference to "The Fly II", where Martin Brundle, the son of Seth "Brundlefly" Brundle, is affected with an extremely rare disease called "Brundle's Disease" which causes rapid growth and premature death, as seen as he looks like a 9-year old boy at the age of eleven months, and is a full-grown man at 5 years of age.
