E.T. is a friendly extraterrestrial who is stranded on Earth in the Steven Spielberg movie, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and is voiced by Debra Winger in the film.

Expecting the world to end in the episode "Da Boom", Peter Griffin comes out of the basement in a protective suit. Chris Griffin, not knowing it is his own father, tells E.T. to run because he thinks the government is here to get him. E.T. runs across the room, arms flailing and doing his famous scream.

E.T.'s glowing finger appears on TV and upsets Peter in "Stewie Loves Lois" because it reminds him of his "rape".

In the song "Me and Jesus" in "I Dream of Jesus", there is a scene where Jesus is sitting in the basket at the head of a bicycle, like E.T., and causes the bicycle to fly.

He also appears with Tom Hanks in the movie Philadelphia in "Long John Peter".

Quagmire flies a plane while drunk and hits E.T and Elliott when they're flying on the bike in "Save the Clam".

E.T.'s "ouch" is used as part of Weenie and the Butt's sound effects at the gay pride parade in "Roads to Vegas".

Brian watches an African-Americanized version of E.T. on BET in "A Fistful of Meg". In it, E.T. is in no hurry to leave, preferring to stay in the house and hang out to watch television.

Joe and Quagmire watch a parody of E.T. at The Drunken Clam titled S.T.: The Special Terrestrial in "Mom's the Word".

In a news story about Peter spreading an anti-vaccination message in "Hot Shots", he is shown in the basket of Elliott's bicycle from E.T..

E.T. is voiced by Seth MacFarlane.
