Expecting the world to end in the episode Da Boom, Peter comes out of the basement in a protective suit. Little does Chris know its his dad. Chris then yells, "The government's here! Run E.T., run!" E.T. runs across the room, arms flailing and doing his famous scream. In a later episode, E.T.'s glowing finger appears on TV and upsets Peter in Stewie Loves Lois. He also appears with Tom Hanks in Philadelphia in Long John Peter.
