• Originally, Microsoft Windows 7 was going to sponsor the event, but after viewing how vulgar Seth and Alex's material was for the show, they pulled out. Instead, Warner Bros. was the sole sponsor and during the special, they showed a sneak peek of their upcoming movies Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Ninja Assassin.[1]
  • Based on previews and leaked footage, there was a lot of material cut from this special, including
  • Lois says "Sh'ma Yisrael," a nod to both her Judaism and one of the central prayers in Judaism. It means "Hear, O Israel."
  • The Marlee Matlin gag gets a 2009 update. (500) Days of Summer replaces The Last Mimzy and the Fame remake replaces 300.
  • The show appeared as an extra on the "Partial Terms of Endearment" DVD with content slightly edited from the broadcast version to eliminate sponsor messages.
