Father Sapienza is the cousin of the unnamed priest of the Griffin’s church. In "Lethal Weapons", he is considered a "leafer", which is a term used to describe New Yorkers who come to Road Island to see the Autumn foliage. His homily stirs up a fight between several other leafers when he says that God orders them to be good or he'll bust their skull. One leafer stands up in challenge to God only to be told by a second leafer to be more respectful of the Father or he'll break his arm.
