Bubo is a mechanical owl in the 1981 film Clash of the Titans.
In "Tiegs for Two", Peter claims dinner with the Clash of the Titans owl was worse than dinner with Mr. Washee Washee. A flashback shows Lois trying to ask it questions but is unable to understand it's response. When Peter explains that only Harry Hamlin knows how to speak with the owl, Lois emphatically responds that she will not have Harry Hamlin over for dinner.
