Carson is the producer of the 11:30 Cooking Show on WQHG, channel 5.
When Quagmire is encouraged to try out as the new host in "Pilling Them Softly", Peter along for support. Carson is impressed by Quagmire's cooking skills and Peter's humor so he agrees to hire them as a team.
However, Peter's stunts soon wear on Quagmire's nerves and he fires Peter. However, the station producer offers Peter his own cooking show. Quagmire soon finds his show disrupted by the antics at Peter's show and demands that one of them has to quit, noting that all of Peter's "cooking" consists of putting butter on frozen food. Instead, Carson suggests they have a cook off to decide who stays.
