Grease

Grease is a 1978 American musical film directed by Randal Kleiser and based on Warren Casey's and Jim Jacobs's musical, of the same name about two lovers in a 1950s high school. The film stars John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, and Jeff Conaway. It was successful both critically and at the box office; its soundtrack album ended 1978 as the second-best selling album of the year in the United States.

"Gotta Give Up the Toad" is a parody of "You're the One that I Want" from the film. New Brian and Lois Griffin sing "Summer Nights" on Karaoke night in "The Man with Two Brians".

In "And I'm Joyce Kinney", Lois describes finding her porno film as being more difficult to find the original ending to Grease. The story's two main characters Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson are shown in the climax as they fly off together, only to find they don't know how to land the car. When Sandy wants to cuddle for warmth, Danny as portrayed by John Travolta is reluctant in a nod to his ambiguous sexuality.

Dylan Flannigan, Brian's illegitimate son auditions for the role of Danny in "The Former Life of Brian".

After accidentally breaking them up in "Absolutely Babulous", Peter insists that Babs and Carter belong together like that couple from Grease, leading to a gag in which Mr. Rama Lama Lama Ka Dinga Da Dinga Dong attempts to marry Miss Shoo-Bop Sha Wadda Wadda Yippity Boom De Boom, although Mr. Chang Chang Changitty Chang Sha-Bop protests.
