Mittens is a cat owned by Mrs. Quagmire. In "Brian the Bachelor", he appears when Brooke visits Glenn Quagmire and his mother, running across the room and meowing. Mrs. Quagmire yells for Quagmire to feed Mittens; he denies this, claiming Mittens has food in his bowl. His mother denies this, saying it is old food, and Mittens continues to meow. Quagmire then yells at Mittens to shut up, and Mrs. Quagmire yells back at him, claiming he cannot talk to the cat that way, as it is a member of their family. According to DVD commentary, his name was originally going to be "Pussy".
