Smitty's is a fancy steakhouse in Quahog. Peter notes in "Hot Pocket-Dial" that when he was a kid, it was the finest restaurant in town.
After Peter takes the family there, Maurice the Maître d' offers Peter a toothpick, which he starts to decline as an unnecessary expense until Lois points out that it is complimentary. Peter uses the toothpick to adopt a tough guy image, but when he accidentally shallows it after several days, he needs to return to Smitty's for another. But when he arrives, the sight of an old woman using a toothpick kills his desire for another.
