The Goonies

The Goonies is a 1985 adventure-comedy film directed by Richard Donner. The screenplay was written by Chris Columbus from a story by executive producer Steven Spielberg. A band of kids from the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, hoping to save their homes from demolition, go on an adventure to find the buried treasure of One-Eyed Willy, a legendary 17th-century pirate.

When the Griffins are in the sewers, they encounter the kids in "Breaking Out is Hard to Do", Peter asks Chunk, the overweight boy, to wave around his belly in “The Truffle Shuffle” as he does in the film.

In "Stew-Roids", Peter holds up a coin with holes in it, clearly a reference to the Spanish doubloon that the character Mikey Walsh uses to locate One-Eyed Willy's hidden treasure.

While working at Superstore USA in "Hell Comes to Quahog", one of Meg Griffin’s duties is to give Sloth, the majorly deformed boy in the group, a Baby Ruth candy bar. He then states that he is “already in a committed relationship”, presumably with Chunk.
