The View

The View is an Emmy Award-winning American talk show created by Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie and broadcast on ABC as part of ABC Daytime. It features a panel of women as co-hosts.

The View was referred to as "The talk show for women can be seen before the News at noon" by Peter Griffin in "I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar".

In the third "Family Guy Viewer Mail" segment, "Li'l Griffins", when the kids are flipping channels they turn to an episode of the show, featuring young versions of its hostesses at the time, Barbara Walters, Star Jones, Meredith Vieira, Lisa Ling, and Joy Behar.

In "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Fonz", Brian torments Stewie by forcing him to watch the show. In this version, the women act very much like farm hens, clucking and such as they sit. Jones even lays an egg.

In Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, Stewie refers to being on a tour of talk shows in between film segments, such as Late Show with David Letterman, Inside the Actors Studio, and The View where he starts a melee by throwing cake in front of the women.

In the DVD cut of "Quagmire's Dad", when Brian leaves for his seminar, Stewie insists he knows how to have a good time. The scene fast-forwards to a cardboard cutout set of The View with photograph standees of Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck set on the table.

Lois briefly tunes into The View in "Baking Sad".

In "Cabin Pressure", Lois ends up clogging the main toilet after eating a fiber-laden cereal recommended to her by The View.
