Surround the text with three apostrophes to make bold text. You can also highlight the desired text and click this button:

Surround the text with two apostrophes to make Italic text. You can also highlight the desired text and click this button:

Surround the text with five apostrophes to make the text both bold and italic. ex:

[edit] Internal Links
This is what makes FGWiki tick. Every page should contain links to other articles on the wiki. This process is very easy. Just surround the name of the article with hard brackets. For example, linking to the article called "Lois Griffin" would look like this
[[Lois Griffin]] = Lois Griffin
This process is made even easier with the editing toolbar. Just highlight the article you want to link to and click
You can the link different text by placing a pipe symbol between the destination and the word. ie:
[[Chris Griffin|Chris]] = Chris

Use a single hard bracket for these. First list the URL of the location, then the text you would like.
[http://www.familyguy.com Official Website] = Official Website
[edit] Pictures
If you want to upload a picture, click on the "Upload File" link in the toolbox on the sidebar of the page. Find the location of the file on your hard drive, and provide a description of the picture. When the picture is uploaded, insert [[Image:example.jpg]] in the article where you would like the picture to be placed.
[edit] Lists
Here's how to make a bulleted list. Add an asterisk in front of each item. For example:

[edit] Bordered Box
In order to draw attention to very important information, such as code for a template, you can use a bordered box. Write the information normally, but add three spaces before each paragraph.
For example, using three spaces produces this.

Templates can be used on pages to help organize your information. Templates are easy to use. You simply copy a brief bit of code, fill out the appropriate information, and place it on your page.
