Jake Tucker is the son of famed baritone Quahog 5 News co-anchor Tom Tucker and his wife Stacy Tucker. His face is upside-down. Therefore, people use words like "freak" to describe him quite often, as he is frowned upon in society.

An always rambunctious trouble maker, he attended Buddy Cianci Junior High School with Chris Griffin where he got Chris in trouble by bringing alcohol to a dance in "North by North Quahog". He later is arrested for drug possession and sentenced to 200 hours of community service due to a setup plotted by Brian and Stewie Griffin with help from the Greased-up Deaf Guy. During a talk with Jake's father, Brian inadvertently mentions Jake's face but only Stewie notices it. Jake also never learned how to wipe because he does not have any buttocks. He once went to audition for Bill Cosby's Kids Say the Darnedest Things, but due to his appearance, he was skipped. This provoked Tom to promise Jake that they'd make their own TV show. He also can play the piano as he tried out for the organist in "Boys Do Cry". When the oil company dumped their waste into Lake Quahog, Jake's face became one of a normal human. In Peter's Progress, when his ancestor/colonial counterpart was decapitated when King Stewart III's forces ravaged through Quahog, the head landed upside down, leaving his face to appear correctly.

Meg used him as her boyfriend to make Neil Goldman jealous in "8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter". When Neil and Meg became boyfriend and girlfriend, he began dating Cicillia.

The Evil Monkey has now moved from Chris's closet to Jake's closet as of "Hannah Banana", much to Jake's horror, despite the fact that the Monkey was never really evil.
