George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985) was an American actor, director, writer, and producer who worked in theater, radio, and film. His notable works include the 1937 theater production of Caesar, the 1938 radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds and the film Citizen Kane.

Brian teases an overweight Stewie in "He's Too Sexy for His Fat" by referring to him as 'Orson.'

In "Screwed the Pooch", Brian reveals Peter was banned from a video store for taping over the film Citizen Kane.

Stewie comments that cutting open Chucky the camel in "Road to Europe" looks like [[Orson Welles’s autopsy.

Peter notes that a drunk Orson Welles performs in a commercial in Brian's compilation video in "The Man with Two Brians".

Peter claims Joe is only getting famous by tricking people, like Orson Welles. A cutaway gag in "Cop and a Half-Wit", shows him performing his The War of the Worlds broadcast outside of a McDonald's to encourage the crowd to leave, while at the same time, trying to keep the staff in place.
