Perfect Strangers

Perfect Strangers was an American sitcom that ran for eight seasons from March 25, 1986 to August 6, 1993 on the ABC television network. It chronicles the rocky coexistence of Larry Appleton (Mark Linn-Baker) and his distant cousin Balki Bartokomous (Bronson Pinchot). Originally airing on Tuesdays and then Wednesdays in prime time, the show eventually found its niche as an anchor for ABC's original TGIF Friday night lineup. It eventually produced a spin-off, Family Matters, in 1989.

During the My Black Son opening theme in Road to Rupert, Peter Griffin uses opening theme scenes from various sitcoms including the revolving-door scene in the opening credits of Perfect Strangers.

In a deleted scene intended for "Peter's Got Woods", found in the bonus DVD Family Guy: Off the Cutting Room Floor, Larry confronts Balki about his origins, pointing out there is no country of Mypos and finding drugs in Balki's stuffed sheep Dimitri. Balki turns out to have a secret dark side and warns Larry not to go to any shopping malls on Halloween.
