[edit] Needs a lot of improvement
This wiki needs alot of improvement. Episode summaries are way too short and there are hardly any notes, trivia, references, and goofs. Also the character biographies aren't really descriptive. And ALMOST EVERY PAGE IS A STUB! We really need to get busy.

Yes, adding to that, I think there is something wrong with the Main Page. I looked at the editing page of it and do not understand how to edit the pages in all; other than the words I mean the title page it never says "News" somewhere. I'm just lost!

[edit]
The idea behind keeping the main page editable is that locking the main page gives off a bad impression to casual browsers, that there is a definite segregation between administrators and wiki editors. Yes, there is heavy vandalism on the main page, but there's a reason it's unprotected. http://www.freewebs.com/justkevi/Adam%5FWe%5FIcon.png Adam We (talk)
- I understand that, that's why I semi-protected. Recently, there was some malicious moving and vandalism of the main page. Plus, it's pretty standard practice to semi-protect. If someone is unregistered or new, there is a good chance they shouldn't be messing with the mainpage anyway. John Reaves (talk) 05:42, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Too Little Info
And you call yourselves fans. This site just has too little info in it! There is little on the character bios, way too little on the episode summerys, and barly anything on Seth MacFarlane's page. There is more stuff on Family Guy on Wikipedia, and on the discussion pages on some of them, they're saying that the articals are too long! What is going on?!--BrianGriffin-FG 20:31, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Then get working! It's frustrating when two or three members sit here and make edit after edit to try and put information up. This is a community, and we should support the site as such. http://www.freewebs.com/justkevi/Adam%5FWe%5FIcon.png Adam We (talk)
I've found anther Family Guy website called Family Guy World

[edit] Transwiki
I've created a Transwiki log so items from other projects can be imported properly. Someone should add Project:Transwiki to their Watchlist so they don't miss these coming in.
I think the process on this end would be to move (and rename if necessary) the Transwiki'ed article, and change (or delete) anything that isn't right for this wiki (such as leftover templates from the source wiki).
Currently there's only one Transwiki article waiting:
If it's not useful here, please feel free to delete. / edg ☺ ★ 07:18, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Logo
Could anyone tell me what type of font they used to create the show's logo? 24.251.234.86 00:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Macaulay Culkin
Okay, this keeps getting ignored. HE IS NOT CAST OR CREW! HAS HE EVEN BEEN A GUEST STAR BEFORE? WHY IS HE HERE? If you could provide a good reason why he should be included anywhere on this site than please don't erase this just respond to it. 12/27/2007 Zeelog1
On the episode Brian Sings and Swings, after the part where Joe falls off his porch because Peter stole his ramp, they show a shot of the "Quahog skyline". One of the buildings in the background looks like the empire state building. There's two other buildings there too - it appears to be the World Trade Center...after the planes hit. Am I wrong here? Someone else check it out and see if you see the same thing. Thanks!
[edit] Images
Is something wrong with the images? All I know is that the images have changed into URLs, which link to the images. TobytheTramEngine 14:40, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Never mind. If it happens again, I'll report the problem. TobytheTramEngine 18:59, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Does anyone know the episode when peter griffin does a dance for meg?
Does anyone know when peter griffin does a dance for meg? It's her birthday and peter does a strip for her in front of her friends, but i can't remember which episode it's in. He bends over in front of meg and her glasses disappear up his erm.... well you know!!!! So funny!!
That episode was Peter's Daughter. It wasn't her birthday, it was her bacholorette party.
[edit] Design
I really don't get why this wiki has an orange/yellow background. —CakeMistake talk 15:33, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree. I'll start a motion to try and change it. The Milkman·talk 08:48, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank God. I finally figured out how to change it. --The Milkman·talk 21:02, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
I've grown accustomed to its face. :) --Buckimion 22:16, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Rearranging
I know it's been a long time since I've been around. Most of you don't even know who I am. So I understand if you're uncomfortable with me going straight for the main page edits. Well I just made a few superficial changes in the interest of brevity, and I moved the Browse template closer to the top. Before, one of the first things an outsider would see is "JOIN US NAO." It could be offputting. Now we offer to explore our content first and see what's cool about it.
Let me know if you have any objections. --The Milkman·talk 09:10, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- looks good overall. About the "about us" section. Maybe it needs more text or different spacing cause it looks a bit awkward with only a few lines of text and a bigger picture.
Also I know you didn't like the old colors, but we should try add some back that do work better... Grande13 19:46, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- Welcome back. I agree about the "About Us" padding being a problem. That's what I was unsure of. The others I removed because the home page link was redundant, and I thought the emphasis should first be about content, then allowing a natural ease into the community part (thus the member list removed and about us moved).
- I think having a custom skin would be excellent. The orange was too bright and ugly. --The Milkman·talk 19:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- I made a small edit, and it looks good on my screen, but I've got big resolution and widescreen. In a smaller window things start to get bunched. I think one thing we should do is do away with those big images. Back in the day they were made strictly to match the wiki logo. I don't think that is very practical. I propose replacing them with text for the time being. In time we can think of a more elaborate structure for the front page, or something as simple as using the FG font for the links. --The Milkman·talk 20:34, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
it looks fine on my monitor currently. I think the images work nice and give the page a personal touch instead of just text. Although maybe they can be resized/reshaped to make it more appealing. Grande13 20:43, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- i had my browser set a little smaller and noticed that some of the images overlap and what not looking bad, so i'm guessing this page probably looks like a mess to someone with a 17 inch or so monitor. Test it by making the window size smaller to see for yourself... Grande13
[edit] News Check
Someone buried an interesting article in the news section. If anyone can verify it, it should be more prominent. --Buckimion 08:21, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- what is the interesting article you are referring to exactly? Grande13 12:54, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like you found and moved it. It was the Ricky Blitt video talking about the movie. I see its now at the top. --Buckimion 13:39, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Header too wide
Hi there. Remember me? I was the guy who did the original main page redesign in March. I see there's been some rearrangeing, and when viewed in 1024 by 768 resolution (the most common resolution today), the header is too wide and is covered partially by the advertisement. Just letting you guys know. Thanks. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 23:54, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Re; Settings & Settings log
