The Jolly Green Giant is the marketing icon and mascot of the company that now bears his name in the marketing of frozen and canned vegetables. It was founded originally in 1903 by the Minnesota Valley Canning Company in Le Sueur, Minnesota. The brand "Green Giant Great Big Tender Peas" was first used in 1925, and the figure of a giant was introduced three years later.
The Jolly Green Giant is present as a gathering of mascots hosted by Peter in "Pawtucket Pete" when he becomes the new mascot for Pawtucket Patriot Ale.
