Love Boat

The Love Boat (simply Love Boat in its final season) is an American television series set on a cruise ship, which aired on the ABC Television Network from 1977 until 1986. It was part of ABC's Saturday night "one-two punch" along with Fantasy Island, until the latter show ended in 1984.

In "Holy Crap", a cutaway shows President Abraham Lincoln shooting bartender Isaac Washington, parodying the Bible's tale of Abraham and Isaac.

In "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Fonz", Gavin MacLeod urges people to join 'The Church of Captain Stubing'.

After taking The Love Boat passengers and crew hostage, Somali pirates kill Captain Stubing after he points out some of the responsibilities he has such as convincing Mr. Devlin that he still loves his wife in "Brian's a Bad Father". The pirates then tell Mr. Devlin to go skinny-dipping with his wife like they did when they were kids.

In "V is for Mystery", there is a cutaway joke that segues into the opening of this series with Elaine Joyce and Ron Palillo as guest stars.
