Three Kings/Notes/Trivia

• In all stories Joe's legs kept getting hurt -
  • In "Stand By Me" his legs get run over by two trains,
  • In "Misery" he gets shot in the legs (and then killed) by Stewie,
  • In "The Shawshank Redemption" his legs were beaten by cops with nightsticks.
• This is another episode that doesn't fit into the show's canon, like The Simpsons' "Treehouse of Horror" episodes, after "Da Boom" and "Family Guy Viewer Mail".
• The broadcast order for 420, Peter's Progress and Three Kings was altered in the UK due to Michael Jackson's death.
• This is the second episode where Chris doesn't appear. The first being, Love, Blactually.

Stand By Me

• In the "Stand By Me" spoof:
  • Peter is Pedie Lachance (original character is Gordie Lachance played by Wil Wheaton, voice is Richard Dreyfuss.
  • Joe is Joey Duchamp (original character is Teddy Duchamp played by Corey Fieldman), voice is Roy Scheider.
  • Quagmire is Quag Chambers (original character is Chris Chambers played by River Phoenix).
  • Cleveland is Cleve Brown, the fat kid from "Stand By Me" (original character is Vern Tessio played by Jerry O’Connell who is married to Rebecca Romijn, as mentioned by Richard Dreyfuss at the end of the "Stand By Me" segment).
  • Mayor West is Ace (original character is Ace Merrill played by Kiefer Sutherland).
• Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider starred together in the original 1976 "Jaws" movie.
• Roy Scheider's last television appearance.
• Meg does not have any lines.

Misery

• This is the first time Lois has one scene.
• In "Misery" it references again that Stewie is gay by telling Paul(Brian) that he is no longer wearing lipstick, asking to suck his thumb while feeling Pauls's ear, and saying he fondled Brian as Paul slept.
