Whip It
From the episode: Herpe, the Love Sore
Singers: Devo
Voices: Devo

"Whip It" is the million-selling 1980 hit single by the American new wave band Devo, originally appearing on the album Freedom of Choice.

In "Herpe, the Love Sore", Peter goes to the Quahog Civic Center to see Devo armed with a whip taken from Quagmire's mail and proceeds to crack it at other patrons during "Whip It". Peter takes their instructions to "whip it good" as criticism and insists he is doing the best that he can.

An uncredited archive recording of the group performing "Whip It" was used for their vocal performance.

[Outside the arena]

When a problem comes along

You must whip it...

...You will never live it down

Unless you whip it

No one gets away

Until they whip it

I say whip it

Peter Ok [Cracks whip, striking a man]

Whip it good

Peter: I'm doing my very best! [Cracks whip again, knocking a woman off of a man's shoulders]

Man Thanks. That was way too much heat on my neck.

...Whip it good...
