Willie "Black-Eye" Griffin" was Peter's great-grandfather. He starred in several slapstick films back in the 1920's. He would do certain activities with his dog (who resembles Brian) and have hard objects hit his eye. He'd say, "Not my eye again!" in the silent films. When he was in talking films, his crazy voice quickly caused his popularity to plummet. In the episode, a scene was cut for time featured his death.

He died from a stab in a card game, as Peter stated many of Americans died of this incident in the 1920's.
